West Vancouver Contemporary, Open-Concept Renovation

These homeowners came to me with a nearly impossible request. They wanted to turn their traditional Tudor-style home into a contemporary open-concept space while maintaining the basic infrastructure. While we did end up having to adjust the roof-line we created a mullet-style renovation. Though we did not take the redesign to the extreme Mullet style currently popular throughout London, with the traditional “serious” front of the house yielding to a “party in the back” ultra-modern contemporary rear addition, we did remove the walls on the main floor, opening the space up entirely. The result is a contemporary family-friendly home perfect for constant entertaining and day-to-day living with three teenagers and two dogs.
